SEVERE TORTURE: Recording Update

January 25, 2005

Dutch death metal outfit SEVERE TORTURE have commenced the recording sessions for their new album at Excess Studio in Rotterdam, Holland. A recording update from guitarist Marvin Vriesde follows:

"Over the last couple of days we have been laying down all the guitar and bass tracks. To be honest, this has been the most precise and dedicated recording we have ever done. We really worked everything out to the smallest detail but never lost focus of the sheer brutality of the songs. All the ideas we had and the expectations set before entering the studio, have been achieved and surpassed.
Patrick did an amazing job, laying down the bass tracks last weekend. Due to his aggressive style of playing everything got that extra boost and substance that we could have only hoped for.

"I will be laying down the leads for the album this coming Friday to round up the instrumental section of the recording. Then all eyes will be set on Dennis as he will be doing the vocals during the next couple of weeks."

As previously reported, SEVERE TORTURE will release their final album for Karmageddon Media (formerly known as Hammerheart Records),"Blood Letting", on February 7. "This album is NOT the new SEVERE TORTURE full-length but a live-album with bonus material including our '98 demo," the band write on their web site.
